Illinois Gun Law Dead On Arrival

They’re not directly spelled out in document, so the right isn’t there.

Good for you....so the government can ban newspapers, magazines, the internet, books....because they aren't spelled out as specifically defended in the 1st Amendment.....right?

You doofus.

Machine gun?

And heller was decided when? Yeah, over 200+ years after our constitution was signed.

Wow...are you this dumb in real life or just when you post?

Scalia went through the entire history of gun Rights in Heller starting all the way back in history time with English common law......you doofus.

AK's and AR's are arms. If they're not arms, WTF do you think they are? It doesn't say anything about semi-automatic weapons either, and it doesn't have to. Do you know why? Semi-automatic guns are arms.

Yep....and computers are not listed in the 1st Amendment, Ipads, Iphones, typewriters, so I guess the government can ban them too......

People like Otto think the Constitution was written to give citizens permission what they can and can't do. The Constitution was actually written to limit what government can do to the citizens. But hey! The Constitution says nothing about being allowed to vote by mail, so if we're going to parse words, let's start by getting rid of that first.

It doesn't talk about using machines to vote either.......guess he wants to ban those too..........it doesn't state anything about computers being protected by the 4th amendment so I guess the government can just hack your computer.....cell phone...whenever they want........

It would be cute the way these leftists try to lie about the Constitution and what it does if they weren't so fond of eventually murdering people and filling mass graves........

What exactly are you babbling about this time?

The part where it says "To Keep and Bear Arms."

The "Arms," part ......
is a 50mm an arm?

A machine gun?

Conservative fuckups love to point to if it’s not specifically enumerated in the constitution , the right doesn’t exist.

Otto's claim is that because the Communists named these types of guns as assault weapons, they are not covered by the Constitution. If that's all it takes to get around the Constitution, all they would have to do is put every gun in it's own category and nobody would be allowed to own one. It's a stupid argument.

What does that have to do with what I wrote? All guns are firearms. That's where the term "arms" comes from. Or do you want to make the argument that AK and AR firearms are not arms?
