Making America great again? You bet. Go Trump!

Americans’ wallets fattened in January on recent tax cuts, indicating increased spending power may boost the economy this quarter.

Real disposable income, or earnings adjusted for taxes and inflation, advanced 0.6 percent from the prior month, the biggest gain since April 2015, according to a Commerce Department report Thursday. Nominal consumer spending grew 0.2 percent, matching the median forecast in a Bloomberg survey and following a 0.4 percent gain. The Federal Reserve’s preferred price gauge, excluding food and energy, had the biggest monthly increase in a year...

So refreshing having an American President who's putting Citizens' interests first. A YUGE improvement over the Communist Foreigner who ruled the country the previous 8yrs. Good on ya Trump! :)

Good to see folks keeping more of their paychecks. They'll spend their money far more responsibly than Government will.

What part of “Tax cuts don’t increase incomes” do you dolts not comprehend.

“Income” is defined as money received through wages, salary or investments. Tax cuts don’t increase in wages or salary. The increase the net pay you receive.

In order to increase your income, you need an increase in your wages or salary. Not a reduction in your taxes.

It's still disposable income. From the standpoint of the worker, it makes no difference in the short term if you decreased what they have to give to someone else, or what increases you receive.

There are already signs wages have been creeping up, and I imagine with increased competition from employers they will continue to rise as the best workers have options now.

Let it be so. I hear so called experts and analysts on TV say "people are afraid China is going to retaliate".

This is how anti-American some people are. These dumb sob's don't realize that THIS move is the retaliation. These fools are either as dumb as bricks, or purposely ignorant. Right now, if you go open a business in China, you are facing tariffs, you are being told by China that you MUST hire Chinese employees, you MUST censor your business and act as the Communists say. All on top of suppressing the value of the Yuan for more than a decade, absolutely skewing the marketplace.

If China decided to place specific tariffs against America, than American businesses would move to Vietnam, India or some other low wage location. China is not Germany or Japan, they aren't highly skilled and specific educated economic capitalist system. They are a mass of low wage workers, that's it. They are easily replaceable and they know it. In fact, I think it would be a great outcome if these companies moved to India. It would be fantastic. It would help prop up an ally and a democracy who can then be stronger in their own fight against the Commie bastards.

Wake up America. China and others are expanding into the Sea, they are supporting N Korea and exporting state run communism to the world while buying politicians. To hell with them and their government, America First, Liberty First! We can disagree on policy, but no one in America should pretend that China isn't a massive threat, they make Russia and even N Korea as childs play.

Now if one were to inquire precisely what policy shifts in the tHrump paradigm were responsible for this increase of income one would hear nothing but a cacophony of;

Yeah, but Obama birth certificate...
What about Solyndra and...
Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi...
Sure, but the Steel dossier...

There is 1 problem with that. The withholding tables were not adjusted until February. What you are seeing is rising wages due to a shortage of workers.,

You are the one who is anti-America. A trade war helps no one. It will raise costs on Americans. You are the dumb one. The economy is humming along so it is hard to see where America is being hurt.

Wow, I've been called alot of horrible things in my life, but anti-American isn't one of them.

Let's be clear, this isn't a trade war from America, this has been a trade war for DECADES from other socialist countries. This is the response from America, and it's long overdue.

They don't like it? Then American businesses will move to Vietnam or India. Sorry, but you have to toughen up and stop capitulating to communist governments. There was a time Americans would pick up a rifle and chase a Commie SOB to the end of the earth, now you arm them and make them the global leader?

Only issue I have with Trumps tariffs is they should have been higher! These countries have NO interest in citizens freedoms, accountability or capitalism. So quite frankly, "f 'em".

Only fools and idiots don’t care why their net pay increased. The tax cuts are temporary and they’re increasing the deficits.

If those things don’t matter to you then you’re even dumber than I thought you were.

A "trade war"?! We've been in a "trade war" for decades but just have not been fighting back. The globalists always trot out the trade war argument, and only the ignorant swallow it. America did very well behind huge protective tariffs for decades. So has China. So have many other nations. Funny that some of these same nations are now crying about America finally doing what they've been doing for decades.
