India plans to expand the scope of its current investments in the Russian commodity market by helping the European nation developed its large coal and iron ore reserves, as well as boosting Russia’s fertilizers sector, local media reported.

During the 5th meeting of the India-Russia Working Group on Modernization and Industrial Cooperation, both sides also identified other fields for potential cooperation, including the modernization of steel manufacturing facilities in India and participation of Indian power equipment supplier in upgrading Russia’s power sector, Economic Times reports.

Yes, meanwhile Obama regulates our coal industry out of business leaving a source of energy that would last for 500 years unused while China, India, and other countries use cheap coal as a primary source of their energy. Hillary plans to continue to attack the coal industry if elected. Our politicians are the most stupid people in the world. Well, next to us, because we elected them.

India is in a very unique situation. It is very advanced in nuclear technology but it does not have enough mines that produce nuclear fuels. Also, India is not part of NSG so it has hard time buying nuclear fuels from countries that have abundance of mines that produce nuclear fuels. This leaves India in a somewhat difficult position regarding energy. Hence, they have no choice but to tap into whatever they can get their hands on. US on the other hand has abundance of mines that produce nuclear fuels. Also, US is very advance in solar technologies. On top of that US has access to cheap oil and natural gas from the middle east. So US has quite a bit of options before it must start burning its coal resources.

A very great deal of caution would be recommended before hopping into that bed.

Notwithstanding the pressure being exerted by the US indirectly, Indian Essar group of companies is hopeful of sealing a deal on the sale of its assets to Russian energy giant Rosneft in October this year. Essar sources told Sputnik that the company plans to include more assets in the yet to be signed deal with Rosneft.

They may include two power assets and the Vadinar oil terminal apart from exploration and production assets of Essar oil. Recently, Dharmendra Pradhan, Indian Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, said, “Rosneft of Russia, which is a major producer of oil and gas, is also keen to associate itself with Indian market." Sources say that Rosneft is likely to enter the Indian retail market through Essar’s retail business.

Putin isn't the cleanest character in the world however he is better than any leader from the Middle East outside of Egypt, Jordan, and Israel.

I would rather partner with the Russians than with any of these Islamic countries.
