Indiana: Police Officer shot & killed; 15th officer shot dead in 7 weeks.

OP is over excited, obsessive, etc.

The killings are awful, but the number is down. Good.

In the first two and a half months, it is up to 250%, not 225%.

That is terrible on the individual and community levels.

But . . . it is less than three months, not an annual stat yet.

So don't act as if it is.

Send some of those liberal cop killers to Harney County, where the leo actually deserve it.

What 'liberal cop killers'? Police deaths are near a 30 year low. Should we 'blame' that on liberals too?

Deputy Sheriff Carl A. Koontz

Howard County, Indiana; Sheriffs Deputy Carl Koontz was shot dead last night. Another officer was badly wounded.

This is the 15th cop shot dead in the past 7 weeks.

And yet we're still behind last years totals of cops deaths for this time in the year. And last year was near a 30 year low.

Total deaths yes. That includes car wrecks and heart attacks.

GUNFIRE deaths....you know...murder....are up over 225%. Don't ever expect honesty from you though.

And we've been through this before. Assaults are up. But fewer are fatal for the 3 reasons I provided you.

You keep to that stat....despite knowing WHY.

Attacks are up. Deaths are down. Total deaths include car wrecks and heart attacks. So....the increased vehicle safety measures and new emphasis on personal health help contribute to the decrease in on duty deaths.

Then there's the vests and tactics and trauma care improvements of the last 30 years that I educated you on.

Howard County deputy dies after early morning shooting; suspect also dead
---
Police say the two deputies were shot by Evan Dorsey, 25, as they attempted to serve him with a warrant, according to Indiana State Police. Sheriff Rogers said Monday that the warrant, out of Clinton County, was for possession of a syringe.
---

So, two people are dead over "possession of a syringe".

If you support the drug war, you're responsible for killing that cop. In a sane nation, nobody would give a damn about "possession of a syringe".

And, if anyone cares, Dorsey was very, very white.

The cause of death varies from month to month. The total demonstrate the trend. And we're *behind* the totals of last year. With last year being near a 30 year low.

Who says assaults are up?

And your reason didn't make sense.....as after the 'cause' of the reduction in police deaths......the effect was HIGHER rates of dead cops. Not less.

Why the hell are they issuing warrants for "possession of syringes"????? That's crazy shit. Cops are busting down people's doors. They're going to die.

Who says attacks are up?

And if 'vests' resulted in fewer deaths....then why did deaths shoot up by 20% in the years AFTER the feds started vest grants....and stayed higher until Obama was elected?

After Obama's election.......cop deaths dropped. And have hovered at levels around the lowest since the mid 1950s.
