That was why i lived without a lot of things, but had 3 kids go to private schools.

A kindergartener shows up at CPS, age 5. Still in pull ups because Dad is not in the picture and Mom works nights, which means 11 yo sibling is in charge of the child. Child has very little socialization, knows no letters and few numbers. Raised on TV.

You're the K teacher and you are told this child must be READING by year's end.

You go find the absolute miracle workers who will do this while also teaching 20 other kids in pretty much the same situation. When you find them, let me know
