The Islamists had only a short success...

"The Islamist rebel forces from the Free Syrian Army’s “Southern Front Brigades” have declared full control over U.N. Hill in the Al-Quneitra Governorate after intense firefights with the National Defense Forces (NDF) this morning.

In addition to their success at U.N. Hill, the Free Syrian Army’s Southern Front Brigades have renewed their offensive at Tal Qaba’a in the Golan Heights after a one week hiatus that allowed Fouj Al-Joulan (Golan Regiment) and Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra (Al-Quneitra Hawks Brigade) to launch a counter-assault at Tal Al-Ahmar; this assault was repelled by the Free Syrian Army."

Syrian Army Reverses Islamist Gains in the Golan: U.N. Hill Recaptured

"The Islamist rebels of the Free Syrian Army’s “Southern Front Brigades”, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” captured the strategically located “U.N. Hill” (Tal Qaba’a) after fierce clashes with the National Defense Forces (NDF) in the Golan Heights of the Al-Quneitra Governorate on Saturday morning.

However, some six hours after declaring their full-control over the imperative hilltop, the Islamist rebels found themselves under attack by Fouj Al-Joulan (Golan Regiment) and Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra (Al-Quneitra Hawks Brigade) of the National Defense Forces (NDF) at U.N. Hill.

This counter-assault provide successful for Fouj Al-Joulan and Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra, as they took full-control of U.N. Hill after a brief engagement with the Southern Front, Jabhat Al-Nusra, and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham in the Golan Heights; this offensive by the Islamist rebels was supposed to propel them into the Syrian government stronghold of Khan ‘Arnabeh.

U.N. Hill is vitally located west of Khan ‘Arnabeh, which is a city that the pro-government forces use to not only resupply themselves, but also, train new recruits to join one of their NDF contingents combatting the Islamist rebels in the Golan Heights.

With the fighting inside the Dara’a Governorate dissipating over the last month, the Al-Quneitra Governorate has become the focal point for the Islamist rebels, who have now launched two major offensives in two months."

Syrian Army and Popular Committees Recapture Strategic Hilltop in the Golan Heights

"Two weeks ago, the Islamist rebels of the Free Syrian Army’s “Southern Front Brigades”, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” launched a wide-scale offensive to capture the remaining hilltops surrounding the imperative government controlled city of Khan ‘Arnabeh inside the Golan Heights.

The Islamist rebels were somewhat successful in this military endeavor, as they captured the strategic hilltop of Tal Al-Ahmar from Fouj Al-Joulan (Golan Regiment) and Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra (Al-Quneitra Hawks Brigade) of the National Defense Forces (NDF) after an intense series of firefights.

One week later, the Islamist rebels of the Free Syrian Army’s Southern Front Brigades took control of another vital hilltop in the Golan Heights; this time, the U.N. Hill (Tal Qaba’a) was declared under their control after Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra withdrew east from the hilltop towards the city of Khan ‘Arnabeh.

Six hours after their withdrawal, the Syrian Armed Forces launched a counter-assault to reclaim the U.N. Hill, killing a dozen enemy combatants before reversing the Islamist rebel gains.

On Tuesday morning, the Syrian Arab Army’s 90th Brigade – in coordination with Fouj Al-Joulan and Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra – launched a counter-assault on the Southern Front Brigades’ defensive positions at Tal Al-Ahmar, capturing the hilltop from the Islamist rebel fighters after a brief engagement.

With Tal Al-Ahmar recaptured, the Syrian Armed Forces have reversed all of the Islamist rebel gains from their offensive inside the Golan Heights of the Al-Quneitra Governorate."

Syrian Army Seizes Control of Al-Amal Farms in the Golan Heights

"Earlier this morning, the Syrian Arab Army’s 90th Brigade – in coordination with Fouj Al-Joulan (Golan Regiment) and Liwaa Suqour Al-Quneitra (Al-Quneitra Hawks Brigade) of the National Defense Forces (NDF) – launched a counter-attack at the Al-Amal Farms located north of the recently captured hilltop of Tal Al-Ahmar.

The Syrian Armed Forces surprised the Islamist rebels of Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and the Free Syrian Army’s “Southern Front Brigades” with an attack on the Al-Amal Farms just two days after they seized full-control of Tal Al-Ahmar; this counter-assault proved successful for the Syrian Armed Forces, as they imposed full control over these farms located in the Golan Heights of the Al-Quneitra Governorate.

With Al-Amal Farms, Tal Qaba’a (U.N. Hill), and Tal Al-Ahmar (Red Hill) under their control, the Syrian Armed Forces have now reversed almost all of the Islamist rebel gains from their offensive that was launched two weeks ago in the Golan Heights; this offensive was rather successful for the Islamist rebels as they captured the aforementioned sites, along with Tal Taranjah and the Taranjah Company area.

The Syrian Armed Forces are likely to attack Tal Taranjah in the coming days in order to recapture their lost territory and reverse the rebel gains inside this province in Syria’s western countryside."

Russian Drones Pave the Way for the Syrian Army’s Resurgence in Daraa: Al-Manishiyah Captured

"The Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Armored Division has recently experienced a military resurgence inside the southern Syrian province of Dara’a after spending much of the year on the defensive against the Free Syrian Army’s “Southern Front Brigades” and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra.”

However, in a matter of two weeks, the Russian Armed Forces have repaired the Syrian Arab Army’s confidence with their superior technology and remarkably precise airstrikes that have rocked the Islamist rebels and the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) militants combatting the Syrian Government forces.

On Thursday morning, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Armored Division – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) – launched a counter-assault on the Islamist rebels of the Free Syrian Army at the Engineering Battalion Base; this resulted in the capture of the aforementioned site and their advance to the strategic town of Sheikh Miskeen.

The following morning, the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies attacked the eastern axis of Sheikh Miskeen, marking the first time since they lost this town to the Islamist rebels of the Free Syrian Army and Jabhat Al-Nusra that they have reached this area in the Dara’a Governorate’s northern countryside.

In addition to their success in northern Dara’a, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Armored Division fully captured the Al-Manishiyah District inside the provincial capital after intense firefights with the Free Syrian Army on Thursday; this propelled the Syrian Armed Forces to enter the Dara’a Al-Balad Quarter for the first time in several months.

Much of the Syrian Arab Army’s success in the Dara’a Governorate is owed to the Russian Air Force; this is due to the fact that their drones and satellites have spent several hours capturing footage of the Islamist rebels around the province.

With this advanced technology from the Russian military intelligence, the Syrian Armed Forces have been able to recapture a number of sites from the Islamist rebels."
