Smoke Pollution From Canadian Wildfires Blankets U.S. Cities, Again

Wildfires in western Canada are expected to create smoky conditions in the United States this week. Parts of the U.S. had unhealthy air in June from wildfires in other parts of Canada.

Air polluted by the Canadian wildfires is back in the United States this week.

There are nearly 900 wildfires burning across Canada, but the smoke this week will be coming from the western part of the country.

“Unfortunately, the wildfire smoke will begin to make a return to the region to start the new week,” according to the National Weather Service in the Philadelphia area.

Air quality alerts were issued for multiple areas, including the Midwest, the Great Lakes, central Tennessee and North Carolina, as well as the Northeast.

By 5 a.m. Eastern time on Monday, several cities were reporting elevated readings of the Air Quality Index: 158 in Buffalo, 155 in Chicago and 142 in Nashville. The index runs from 0 to 500; the higher the number, the greater the level of air pollution. An A.Q.I. of 201 or more is considered very unhealthy.



You would have thought that by now that silly country to our north would have burnt to a cinder.....The big ball of nuclear fusion in the sky is lookin' sorta pale this mornin'.....Just another reason to hate America's hat.

This good news for the Democrats, now they can cry bloody murder for us to do something about the levels of CO2 in the air.

Of course, we will have to point out to them, that the burning of trees is considered green and renewable, by the Democrats definition of what is green and renewable.

Burning of trees, at power plants to make electricity is one of the ways the leftists increase the percentage of power coming from "renewables". Otherwise the numbers are so small. The democrats must inflate the Green Energy numbers to make it look real so they can continue to get rich off the government dictated green economy.
