John Stossel: Progressives And War...

It is pretty interesting that the founders of Neo-Conservatism were mostly former Democrats. They never really let go of their Progressive roots.

This is nothing more than an old conservative trick they use all the time. Cons are for Cons until they do something that looks bad, ala Bush, then they throw that person under the bus calling them Rhinos and what not and say they were not really conservatives. Every con politician is one policy mistake away from being a Rhino cast out to the wilderness.

Did you watch the video? If you haven't, you should.

To be fair to FDR- He authorized a support role for specific elements of our military in WWII. He did not enter into the war formerly until Peal Harbor- that was a justifiable and appropriate response.

But, yes, it has not been republicans leading us into wars- but democrats. Bush before leaving office, is the one not Obama, who negotiated withdrawal terms from Iraq. He did take us in- but as substantiated earlier in this thread- he was highly influenced to do so by no-conservatives who were at the core progressive liberals.

Yeah, once you realize the Socialists/Progressives actually control both major Political Parties, it becomes much easier to work for change. I think it's time to throw away the 'Neoconservative' label. It's time to call them what they really are...Socialists/Progressives.

No, I'm spot on. You can't prove otherwise. Which is why you resort to essentially replying "Nuh huh!"

:cuckoo:

Of course I cant prove your opinion wrong silly, its your opinion, not a fact. See?

I say they arent authoritarian. That's how you counter an opinion. If you want to talk facts let me know

Yeah, it's an opinion if you have zero concept of the difference between authoritarain and liberty.

You're welcome to continue going "nah huh!" about it, but I could point to policy and position, one after another that proves my assertion. You? You have nothing but spin.

Ok ok, Opinions are facts, you've convinced me.

But if you decide to "prove" your assertion that would be awesome, opinions mean little in a debate

I'm actually optimistic. I see some real change occurring in the Republican Party. But we are still a long way from seeing the end of Socialist/Progressive-rule in the Party.
