Kamala Harris says she’s going to lower prices.

Wait, weren't you pissing and moaning about food prices the other day?

You need to make up your alleged mind.

Price controls aren't an effective way to deal with it. Lifting regulations and opening up supply lines is. Unfortunately, transporting merchandise to stores is a problem with the Secretary of Transportation was chosen because of his sexual preferences instead of experience in transportation.

As we see with Harris, DIE hires are a disaster.

They're fools, all of them. They need to experience first hand what they promote and ask for, it's the only lesson at this point that's going to work. And even that is doubtful.
Just like the Soviet Politburo members the leftist dem elite will never experience the fruits of their batshit crazy ideas.....They will have their own special stores.

That's needless to say.

But their key to doing this is to convince the Leftard Rank and File that they are part of the elite, and won't suffer under their rule.

Its the same thing with lib elite convincing unionized rank and file that they won't have to stand in line with the rest of the proles for medical care and won't have to get rid of their cadillac level coverage.

Progs with their arrow on their campaign agendas, keep moving to insane ways. They destroyed private businesses in inner city areas that took many decades to return and now are promoting government run stores in those areas. Communism is your end result. For it has to.

Trump and his cult whining about the price of EVERYTHING and blaming the "gubmint".
Then when the government steps in...............They STILL whine about the "gubmint".

Even if they do experience it, they'll believe whatever propaganda they're fed, they'll never place the blame where it truly belongs.
"I blame Trump" is a leftist politico- religious ideology. They are incapable of understanding their Soviet style model of totalitarianism has a long, lurid history of failure. The 20th century is littered with corpses and streets knee deep in the blood of victims of Soviet ideology that Democrats are so anxious to convert the US to.

Fucking around with prices leads to shortages and surpluses, and then people are more pissed than ever. If you make it illegal for merchants to raise their prices during natural disasters- the natural economic effect is that merchants will just lock down their stores and merchandise until the end of the event. Not worth it to stay open, when you can't ask your employees to come in because of bad road conditions .
It leads to a bustling black market.

Nixon introduced price controls in the 1970's. It was a failed policy. You want government to be your mommy and daddy because you are ignorant. Lazy and ineffectual. The best that can happen is for you to actually experience the harm that your politico- religious ideology can do to you.

It was Ford, not Nixon.

Key Points

  • A price ceiling creates a government-mandated maximum price that sellers can charge their customers.
  • Price controls can lower prices for some consumers but also cause shortages which lead to arbitrary rationing and, over time, reduce product innovation and quality.
  • Price controls during the 1970s caused shortages, especially of oil and gasoline. Rapid inflation followed the repeal of price controls.
  • Price controls on prescription drugs—such as those imposed by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022—stunt pharmaceutical innovation, imposing large, long-run costs on Americans that outweigh the short-run benefits of lower prices.
