Canada has firmly condemned last week’s Palestinian Authority terrorist kidnapping of three teenage boys but U.S. President Barack Obama has yet to say a word about the attack — even though one of the hostages is an American citizen.

The boys are students at the Makor Chaim yeshiva high school at Kfar Etzion in Gush Etzion. They were apparently abducted somewhere near the Judean town of Alon Shevut, about 15 minutes south of Jerusalem.

Palestinian Authority Unity Government Arabs starting passing out candies and other sweets in the streets of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, to celebrate the attack after hearing about the kidnapping.

Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird issued the statement Saturday night, strongly condemning the kidnapping and reminding the PA in no uncertain terms that its paramilitary forces were trained, equipped and armed by Canada and the U.S.

Unbelievable. One of the teens was a US citizen, yet Canada had condemned the terrorist kidnapping, but the US has remained silent.

Also, what type of insensitive folks celebrate a kidnapping by passing out candy? This is ridiculous. I would immediately halt all aide to the PA authority.

Why are there so many americans in schools overseas?
There is nothing wrong with being a student of hebrew in a hebrew school. Nothing about jews that want to be more in touch with their faith. Nothing wrong with a person who is half Israeli from studying in Israeli schools.

I'm american but I didn't attend school in the US except for a few months when the airport was closed, after black september, and I could not return home. My aunt enrolled me in school because it was the laws in the US, till I was able to return home. I've attended schools in four different countries, on the other side of the pond. I was horrified with the education system when my children started schools. It took a lot of fighting the system to get a more individualized charter classes for two of my children. Schools did not want to simply skip grades to put them where there skills were. Seems the american system does not like when people have smart kids reading two or more levels above their age.
I think schools should teach children at least two to three languages fluently beginning in kindergarten. An ameircan teen in an Israeli school would have been exposed to hebrew and arabic beside his english. High standard of education, higher scores in maths and sciences, why should a child with the opportunity not go to school oversea, why not an Israeli school?
