Study: Legal marijuana could generate more than $132 billion in federal tax revenue and 1 million jobs
Legalizing marijuana nationwide would create at least $132 billion in tax revenue and more than a million new jobs across the United States in the next decade, according to a new study.

And the lunatic states who have turned away the option to legalize this are so freaking clueless and stupid to the CIA created phobia of pot and what it does. Meanwhile they could do so many things with this money and lay off taxing people to death in every other aspect of ther lives

Would it still be okay if say, Phillip Morris started making cigarette joints of Pot and selling them at a much lower price, because of their machines that make cigarettes?

In states where they have legalized recreational marijuana, opiate overdoses have dropped by 25 percent.

Actually, PM has had plans for making joints and selling them since the mid 70's. They are just waiting for it to become legal.

How much crime should we legalize? Suppose we legalized the sale of baby body parts. How much employment would that generate? Tax it. How much could we generate in taxes. Let's ask planned parenthood.

How about selling licenses to thugs who rob people in the street? How many street thugs would become licensed and self employed legitimate businessmen? They will have to pay taxes on what they collect. Can we trust them not to cheat?

The possibilities are endless.

Would the liberals go batshit crazy if PM were making obscene profits from pot sales and putting the small Mom and Pop, pot stores out of business?

Actually, there are large businesses who are trying to do just that. Matter of fact, that is one reason the marijuana vote in OH was voted down. The measure would have only benefited a handful of large mega growers and left mom and pop operations out of the loop, which is why they had to change the ballot initiative.

Anyone over 21 could grow weed at home under proposed Ohio ballot initiative

Gould said the new proposal tosses out many of the contentious items that he blames for Issue 3's ultimate defeat, including designating certain properties as the only places in Ohio where the cannabis plant could be legally grown - a stipulation would have benefitted only a handful of mega-growers.

"The concept of the rich getting richer goes right out the window with this,'' Gould said.

He said the new ballot proposal is a responsible way to fully legalize marijuana use, cultivation, possession, processing and dispensing, and regulate it like alcohol-related businesses in Ohio.

At least one critic charges the ballot proposal is simply an effort to use Ohio's democratic process for personal gain.

But aren't you gouging the buyer of pot by not allowing competition to set prices? Sounds like the mob is in charge and wants people to pay a lot more than they should. Where is the compassion for those who need to stop the suffering?

In the original ballot initiative, legalization would have benefited only a few large growers and left everyone else out of the loop. No, handing over the entire business for marijuana in that state to a few people is NOT allowing competition and lower pricing. It would have been a monopoly and allowed only a few people to set the prices they wanted.

That is why they are going to modify the ballot initiative and try to pass it again, only this time it would allow for individuals to grow as well.
