I don’t know what Schultz’s views are. If they are too radical, you can’t square the circle but where you can find common ground, find it. It may not be a perfect fit But hey, a vote is a vote. You guys used to be pro-family; you voted for a guy who has affairs with call girls. You guys used to be for small government; you voted for a guy who runs up yearly trillion dollar debts. You guys used to be for free trade; you voted for a guy who wants less trade.

The bottom line is that you can’t govern if you don’t win. Winning, in Presidential politics is all that matters.

Winning the Senate is not as important as winning the Oval but it is a very close second.
