Although we all know he wont actually do this, But Trump should bring this up next year, just to mess with the Democrats. Just to see if we get the same reaction as we are now with the Democrats wanting to add another two or three states.

Considering i see no reactino from republicans when people talk about breaking up cali because they're never do it

I would expect exactly the same reaction from talk of splitting up texas, will never happen move on

Make Eastern Washington and Oregon two states. Split Idaho, Wyoming.

And if Trump loses?...oh, wait. I apologize for interrupting your circle jerk.
Carry on. :)

When the Texicans left during the Civil War, they gave up that right since it wasn't in the articles that readmitted it to the union.

maybe Trump can buy one of the provinces of Canada and make 10 new states

Canada is filled with Canadian liberals. That would be disastrous!

I helped train Canadian special ops troops. To a man and woman, every one indicated they would move to the US after their tour in the military was over, simply because Canada was no longer a free country.

OP, can you explain how your scenario compares w/whatever territories you think the Democrats want to become States?

You guys really have no idea how the Constitution works, do you?

Make the UP of Michigan a separate state!

Neither do the drips who are proposing to make DC and Puerto Rico states....So the completely fantastical scenario is worth batting around for a few yucks.

Fun fact, Texas was given authority to become up to 5 states as a stipulation of their annexation in 1845.

As far as anyone’s aware, that authority has never been revoked by the Congress.

Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Delaware and New Jersey together are far less land wise then many Rural States. But in those 7 Blue States are 14 Prog Senators. Fourteen friggin Senators from just those seven tiny states. There is a definite reason to make many more states out of the Red ones.

And is Trump "Texas?"

Anyone? Anyone?

Bueller? Bueller?

I think President Biden should break up California into 47 states, 46 tiny little ones in LA and SF, and one big one in the rest state.
