Longer prison times means more people in prisons.more prison time is more expensive.There won't be an increase in enforcement.Any increase in enforcement costs. Probation and parole also have administrative costs; and costs to society if things don't, turn out as discussed and agreed to as the terms and conditions for individual liberty.How can it be more expensive ?
We don't need to build more prisons. It won't be more expensive at worst it will cost the same as it does now
The same people will get arrested tried and convicted the only difference is non violent offenders won't do prison time they'll do community service instead. The violent offenders will be put in prison
No it's not since the overall prison population will probably be less than it is now
No....that isn't true. It means violent criminals spend more time in jail...and that is how you reduce the murder rate, by keeping the actual killers away from victims.
