Ending slavery
Keeping the nation united
Creating and expanding workers' rights and protections
Universal suffrage
Civil rights for people of color
Women's rights
Gay rights
Environmental protection
Government help for the poor

and on and on

If conservatives had won every fight against change they waged over the past centuries, this country would be horribly unrecognizable.

No, he's completely making this up. Liberals don't hate religion, or God. We hate narrow minded bigotry and hatred masking itself as religion.

We hate racism and xenophobia masking itself as "national security". We don't think that being white makes us any better than anyone else, nor does being American make you better than anyone else.

We hate corporatism which puts profits ahead of people. We don't hate the rich, but we don't think that the rich should have all of the power and wealth in the country.

We don't love abortion, but we believe that women should have the choice based on their circumstances and their beliefs, and that abortion should be legal for those want or need one. It amazes me that conservatives who don't want to be forced to buy health insurance as an infringement on their freedom want to force a woman to carry a pregnancy to term.
