Of course not. The government should spend as much money as neccessary to protect statutes of Republican radio talk show hosts, it says so in the Constittution.

I'm sure the OP was just admired Missouri for their resilience. They take the hard earned money of the taxpayer by threat of use of a gun, and then use that money to protect a statue of a private individual. It takes balls to do that.

Personally I couldn't care less if they built a statue in honor of Dan Rather who was fired for using forged documents to try to influence a presidential election. So I fail to see the distinction why Twain should be honored with such, and Limbaugh doesn't.
