The Dems smoke and mirrors blame the Russians trick is to keep people away from the embarassment that the whistleblower was probably DNC whistleblower Seth Rich who was gunned down by the Clinton Cartel or Someone in the affected Circle of corruption. If focus gets back to DNC whistleblower Seth Rich then it's not just a huge damaging embarassment for the Dems, but invetigations and accusations, maybe even arrests will occur leading back to high officials trying to protect those damn emails. The interview you are referring to was on Hannity's radio programme on 12/15. The OP is referring to an interview conducted today, apparently on Hannity's Foxnews programme. They seem to say about the same thing, the DNC/Podesta e-mails Wikileaks released, did not come from the Russians or any State source.

The so-called "Russian hacks" are in fact phishing attacks, which require someone to self-infect the system in question, by clicking infected links provided in what would appear to be legitimate mail.
