This is beyond Red-Blue. Our disaster relief is a disgrace, we saw it during Katrina and now again with Helene. The problem is there is no accountability for failure and letting Americans die of injuries, dehydration etc. AFTER the storm has passed is inexcusable.While I feel bad for the good folks caught up in this shit show. Ashville a fucking lefty Eastern Version of San Francisco. Fuck them. They voted Democrat. Are run by Democrats. And are now begging The Democrat government for help like all Nanny State loving leeches do. Meanwhile conservatives, and religious right leaning Samaritans are being blocked from helping these folks. By..? Yup! Democrats. Most of the folks there deserve what they get. That was a once in one hundred years weather event and it was forecast. The Governor's warning was incredibly weak and did not even SUGGEST evacuating. If you're interested it's easy to find, like I found it.They never evacuate people from the mountain regions of NC and GA for a hurricane. It is just never done. My mom has lived just south of Ashville for 30 years and never once has it been suggested they leave due to a hurricane.
Not to mention even if they did suggest such a thing the mountain folk of NC would laugh their fucking assess off at the Govt.
