You just couldn't make this shit up if you tried....Texas, who thumbs its nose to zoning laws, federal regulations, hate the gov. at every fuckin turn, houses wealth, but is thus far the only state in US history to bankrupt a federal program that they hate...FEMA....not only that, is now trying to dismiss EPA warnings in the mist.....you can't make this shit up.

Maybe we shouldn't!!

As long as he stays in whatever inner city shit hole he exists in I'm fine with it. He'll probably be killed by one of his "brothers" for a $20 rock.

That's like saying people who are opposed to SS but are forced to participate anyway should not receive benefits. Interesting logic you have there.

If we signed up for meat puppet faggot care (Obozocare), in spite of opposing it do we still have to pay and get nothing out of it?

Oh... wait...

People already pay and get nothing out of it.

Maybe if you linked to something written by a person that can form and express coherent thoughts?

are we supposed to take your word for it?....
Texas is avowedly a low-tax state. There is no personal income tax. There is no corporate income tax (although there is a surrogate tax on corporate receipts). There is no state-level tax on estates or inheritances. Texas ranks No. 46 out of the 50 states in state and local tax burden per capita, according to recent data from the Tax Foundation. It ranks 43rd in state tax revenue per capita.
There is no single correct answer for how to split the aid to Texas between loans and grants. But the generosity of Americans outside Texas will be severely abused unless Congress requires Texas to raise the tax burden on itself to help pay the costs of Harvey.

Texas should pay for it own shit.

Federal aid is funded by Federal income taxes, which usually comes out of people's checks.

yea i know that.....

It is the South Eastern states that take the most disaster aid from the rest of us. While I do not want to not fund recovery efforts for my fellow Americans, I find that the lack of compassion from the representatives of those states when there are disasters in other regions of the nation a compelling argument for denying aid to those regions. When someone is taking the lions share of the disaster aid, then denying the same to fellow Americans, you can assume that their ethics and morality is sadly lacking. And, yes, Senator Cruz, I am talking about you.

Which is why it would require raising the federal individual income taxes.
