Let's hope the NRA gets ahold of this story and runs with it. They need to go on the attack and portray the hoplophobe libs as a bunch of paranoid wackdoodles.

7-year-old boy, Josh Welch, suspended for shaping his food into a gun - Wilmington Civil Rights | Examiner.com

MARCH 1, 2013

Josh Welch is a seven-year-old-boy who attends Park Elementary School in Brooklyn Park. The Maryland school has a breakfast “snack time” and provided pastries on Friday. Josh was trying to turn his pastry into a shape. Josh chewed his breakfast pastry into the shape of a gun and was suspended for two days.

Josh had his parents called into the school after the teacher took away his half-eaten breakfast pastry. Josh told Fox Baltimore he was trying to shape the pastry into a mountain, but it looked more like a gun. Regardless of the shape the child was trying to make, the pastry was still simply food and could not actually harm anyone.

How do you know the teacher wasn't a conservative who was angry the child had more talent than the teacher did? After all, conservatives aren't very good in the arts, or sciences, or economics, or......They are good at running up the debt and making Americans suffer. Very good in fact.

This shit has got to stop. They are treating little children like criminals. I think some liberal teachers are just frustrated because some kids aren't brainwashed as easily as others so they want to teach them a lesson.

Shut up, and stop trying to change the subject. Only a moronic liberal would scar a child in the name of political correctness.

Is that your ‘evidence’?

Nice try, but anyone with a brain knows a conservative (if you can find one in the public school system) would never do something so profoundly idiotic.

I blame the parents for putting up with this kind of shit, they allow the schools to abuse their children. The child did not create the so called disruption, the goddamned teacher did. Neither the teacher or the principle have any business in a school if they have no more brains than this, and it's up to the parents to get rid of them.

Was a school rule violated?
Are you fucking kidding me?

Yeah, there must have been rule #27....Never chew your pastry, spit it out, intend on shaping it like a mountain, only to have it end up resembling a gun, OR ELSE!

Oh, but we're talking about a loony liberal dominated school system,.....sooooo, yeah, there was probably a rule like that in place.:cuckoo:

yeah, they had similar type policies in my boy's elementary school. No weapons or pictures of weapons. The junior high school is right next to his school, and he once found this disposable utility knife on the play ground.

He put it in his pocket and when ever class got boring he would fiddle with it, take it apart, and figure out how the spring worked and then put it back together. One day he showed the kid that sat in the desk next to him. Big no no. That kid snitched on him and the teacher found out, then it went to the principle, and well. . . . he got a "vacation." lol Of course, it wasn't really his fault. How was an eight year old to know that he wasn't supposed to be playing with something he found on the playground? He's just an inquisitive kid stuck in tedious, broken institutions meant to keep our kids dull and conditioned as lemmings. But yeah, these sentiments were pretty much what he stated to me. . . .

Josh stated in a short video clip that he’s going to consider the suspension almost like a vacation, a few days he gets off from school.

His parents should have never even alerted the media. They should have just told him to bite the bullet and learn from the experience. The best way to live in a concentration camp and a police state is to NOT draw attention to yourself. That was the lesson my kid learned. Since then his grades have improved to straight A's and he always keeps his head down and out of trouble. He is well aware of what those storm troopers are looking for.

Idiots.

Texas GOP works to ban teaching critical thinking skills in Public Schools

Welfare War: GOP?s Campfield Advocates Starving Children With Bad Grades

Education works. Consistent access to healthy food and positive reinforcement works. But, as Nashville Scene points out, you have to be several shades of gleefully sadistic to propose withholding food from children to motivate poverty stricken families to “do better.”
As the latest ridiculous welfare ban floated by Campbell (who actually, unironically claims to be a Christian) on the web, it seems apt to ask, who would Jesus starve? The little children?

Show me how Democrats want to cause such damage. I dare you.
