Major riots happened in France and the US MSM was too busy worrying about trump cabinet picks to cover it.

"
ARGENTEUIL, France — When French police allegedly raped a 22-year-old black man named Théo in the Paris suburbs earlier this month, that was merely the beginning.

For almost two weeks, the outskirts of Paris and other major French cities have erupted in often violent protests: cars set ablaze, rioting late into the night. The demonstrations are mostly against police violence, but at their core they are propelled by a deep-rooted anger over structural racism and the perceived failure of the French state to address a long-volatile situation. The “Théo Affair” began with the case of just one young man, but it has now ignited the frustrations of France’s black community, one of the largest in Europe."

I don't understand. You complain about an incident in France going unreported in the US MSM, and prove it by quoting the Washington Post?

"The difficulty, Tin said, is proving that French police disproportionately target minority suspects in a country where keeping statistics on race or ethnicity is strictly prohibited.

[Black Lives Matter movement comes to France. But will it translate?]

Despite the relative frequency with which these episodes occur, France remains a country where race — as a social distinction but also as a separate lived experience — does not officially exist. All citizens remain equal in the eyes of the state, which now refuses, mostly to apologize for stripping away nationality from Jewish citizens in World War II, even to recognize any difference. "

SUch policies also make it very difficult to track crime rates among immigrants.

ANd easy for lefties to lie about the results of their policies.

French blacks confiscating the signification (in this case, victimization) of the name "Theo" van be thwarted, because it is a replay of BLM. No one gets to pirate the semiotics, both Theo (as theologian) and the State agent (the Cop) are two peas in the symbolic superego pod. An Irish invention, we boycott this homoerotic frenzy with the information anarchy of education.

Pointing out the double standard of the media.

I bet LePen gets elected and it will be civil war in France.

Hell, if you want world wide coverage that mostly covers all world events equally (in the time allotted) then watch BBC. If you want to watch non US news covered by the US media then you have to wait for US citizens to be involved or die in the event being covered.

The incidents in France are hardly major; everything is working. The 'rape' was apparently a nightstick jammed into the young man's rectum, which could have been inadvertent to the extent of the damage done (as the police maintain). It happened in a part of the Paris outskirts where there are a lot of problems.

Hardly major? :dunno:

#16 scans the horizon for what's major, when what's most dangerous are precisely these microfascisms that happen at the speed of thought, to everyone, every day. Another poster dismisses France altogether. Both, then, have covered the Territory of the diversity of particularizations, the one and the many, the clue to democratic leukemia (Baudrillard).

'Major' in France is a million people on the streets of Paris, as for Charlie Hebdo, or weeks long strikes. What is happening around 'Theo' is important, but not major.

It does appear they have a problem with police conduct.
