Martin O Malley likely to announce presidential bid on May 30 - Gabriel Debenedetti - POLITICO

Democrat Martin O’Malley will likely jump into the presidential race with an announcement about his future in Baltimore on May 30, an aide confirmed on Thursday morning.

The former Maryland governor and Baltimore mayor, who has been positioning himself as an electable liberal alternative to front-runner Hillary Clinton, will hold a conference call with supporters on Thursday evening to discuss his plans. He would join Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in a Democratic primary race that could also include former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee.

FYI

The guy who taxed rainwater in Maryland?

He'd be perfect for the Democrat Big-government tax-and-spend-and-tax-some-more party.

A Big Government Democrat.

I am surprised.

Well, most of our infrastructure, science, r&d, education and safety net relies on that concept. Also most of this country sees the need for it.

I love the private sector but that would be one fucked up country if it wasn't for the public!

Better then the cut, slash and burn party ;) Now, I am not saying I don't like accountability, but your party is unreasonable.

I thought democrats weren't allowing any challenges to Hillary. The word must be getting out that she is a loser.
