On Wednesday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) threatened a congressional investigation into Joe Biden’s handling of the disastrous wildfires in Maui.

As reported by Fox News, McCarthy said at a press conference that he was “very concerned” about the federal government’s response to the fires, which have killed over 115 people and thus become the deadliest wildfires in the United States in over a century.

“We saw the devastation that happened in Maui…I’m very concerned about the response,” said McCarthy during the press conference. “We still have hundreds of individuals that are missing. I think there’s going to have to be a congressional investigation into the response on Maui. How could you lose that many Americans?”

Would this guy just STFU and actually do something? Already so sick of McCarthy. Not even a little surprised at his empty bullshit.

Campaign season is coming up soon so we'll know where Biden is most of the time. In the basement. But lets be real here. In the basement is where he does the least damage. That's why his campaign manager insists he spend at least 75% of his time down there. Back to MAGA

Too bad the GOP didn't have the same quick response with their endless investigations when Maria slammed into Puerto Rico, killing nearly 70 percent more people than Katrina. But that how the weaponization of the House has unfolded under the Neo-GOP.

TRUMP

RESPONSE! That's not where the damage happened. Investigate the green policies that caused the disaster.
What about the republicans

They voted against the supplemental spending package last September, which provided $2.5 billion for wildfire relief. They voted against the annual transportation, housing and urban development spending package last July, which provided $6.4 billion for wildfire management.

And they voted against puppies, kittens and rainbows.

Neither of those issues caused or contributed to the Lahaina fire. Green policies did.

maybe because it was Puerto Rico, a burden to the US as a territory. Have you been there? it was no Maui

On Aug. 28, 2018, the Milken Institute School of Public Health released a study concluding with 95-percent confidence that Hurricane Maria had led to the “excess” deaths of between 2,658 and 3,290 U.S. citizens on the island of Puerto Rico.

It so happens that the average figure of 2,975 deaths is nearly identical to the 2,974 people who perished in the horrifying 9/11 attacks

Furthermore, most of the thousands who died as a result of Hurricane Maria did so in the weeks or months after the storm hit. That means many of those deaths could have been prevented by the disaster relief operation described by Pres. Donald Trump in a speech on Sept. 11, 2018 as an “incredible, unsung success.”

Spend all that time and money on things that will actually help people instead

Politicians prove over and over again they don't give a fuck about us.
