Mets reliever Jorge Lopez, seen grabbing himself in the picture above, threw his glove into the stands this week in frustration after yet another Mets loss and later posted on social media that the Mets were the worst F@@king team in MLB.

In response, the Mets front office fired Lopez on the spot.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said, "We had to fire Jorge for his poor behavior, but at the same time, he made some valid points, mainly that we suck azzzzzz at playing baseball", said Mendoza, "Which is why as a team we have decided to give up MLB and start playing another sport. After assessing the athletic skills of our players, we decided that pickleball would be the best fit as we felt that we could not really compete in any other sport. I mean, why give up baseball since you don't have talent to play baseball, and then take up basketball with no ability to play that either?" said Mendoza

No word yet on whether there is any interest in turning the Mets stadium into a pickleball court, or if there is any interest in professional pickleball anywhere in the world so that they have teams to compete with, or if anyone in the world actually plays pickleball aside from family get togethers for that matter. In fact, does anyone even know what pickleball is?
