Mitch McConnel Bravely Tells The Corporate Elite To Stay Out Of Politics

G
Corporations are controlled almost exclusively by the democrat party now with what is called ESG scores

So if their score is no woke enough, bad things will happen to them in the corporate world and those in government won't be as kind to them either.
Good lord, you idiots will believe anything!

Speak for yourself

Corporations are exercising the first amendment rights by monitoring their private platforms without government interference.
Bullshit! Big Tech platforms that claim not to be journalists and offer "free speech" only to avoid having to defend lawsuits have no right to censor conservatives or liberals. It's blatantly obvious that they do not permit conservative users to last and that they promote liberal gibberish.

Corporations are taking away our first amendment rights by censoring Conservatives on social media, and that is Ok.

But a Republican tells corporations they need to straighten up and he becomes the threatening fascist insurgent?
Ummm. No. Corporations are exercising the first amendment rights by monitoring their private platforms without government interference.

Moscow Mitch is threatening consequences to private companies from his office on Capitol Hill, which is a clear violation of the first amendment.

Got it now?

Corporations cannot use their first amendment rights to quell the first amendment rights of their consumers. Common sense tells anyone you are not exercising free speech by policing speech.

It's not hard.

The United States of America is controlled 100% exclusively by the people. 8 million more of them voted for Joe Biden. The vote in Georgia was counted 3 times. Once by hand. Was certified by a Republican state secretary. In an election the Trump Dept. of Homeland Security deemed the most secure in modern history.

Biden administration policies on the Covid response, the economic stimulus, infrastructure spending, and tax increases on corporations and the wealthy, have a support of the majority of the people, including Republican voters.

Republicans in Congress, and in state legislatures, with the corporations, better take a reevaluation of their positions.

Which right now, do not align with a majority of the people of the United States of America.

How are they doing that?

Easy.

By censoring speech on their platforms. You cannot provide a platform for the free exchange of speech if you are the one regulating or curtailing it. When millions of people use your platform, your actions to allow or disallow their speech have a great impact on society overall. At some point, the government will do one of two things: it will stop you by regulating your platform, or it will use your platform and practices as a tool to police the citizenry.

Not very astute, are you?

...Corporations are taking away our first amendment rights by censoring Conservatives on social media...
When did corporations ever censor Conservatives on social media?

...But a Republican tells corporations they need to straighten up...
Incorrect. Moscow Mitch tried to tell corporations to stay out of politics. Big difference.

...and he becomes the threatening fascist insurgent?...
Who has called him that?

...Corporate America have gone to war with the GOP, and with over 70 million Americans...
Incorrect. The GOP launched war against the Republic on January 6, 2021, and most of those 70,000,000 Americans will not follow Mitch down that rabbit hole.

The first amendment deals with government control of speech, not corporate. The first amendment says, in essence, that you can stand on your front porch and say pretty much whatever you want. It doesn't say you can stand on mine, or google's, and say it.

They aren't censoring your speech, they're refusing to lend you their bullhorn.

They don't censor speech on their platforms, they censor hate speech.

The fact that it's right-wingers getting banned for the hate speech just means that right-wingers enjoy hate speech and racism more.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell lashed out at corporate America on Monday, warning CEOs to stay out of the debate over a new voting law in Georgia that has been criticized as restricting votes among minorities and the poor.

"Corporations will invite serious consequences if they become a vehicle for far-left mobs to hijack our country from outside the constitutional order," McConnell told a news conference in his home state of Kentucky.

Big business ties with Republicans began fraying under former President Donald Trump's leadership and the party's focus on voting restrictions has soured businesses embracing diversity as key to their work force and customer base. Major Georgia employers Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines have spoken out against the law signed by Governor Brian Kemp, and Major League Baseball pulled the 2021 All-Star Game out of the state over the law strengthening identification requirements for absentee ballots and making it a crime to offer food or water to voters waiting in line.

Uh oh, Mitch is talking tough again. Watch out Coke.
So let me get this straight.

Corporations are taking away our first amendment rights by censoring Conservatives on social media, and that is Ok.

But a Republican tells corporations they need to straighten up and he becomes the threatening fascist insurgent?

LOL.

Corporate America have gone to war with the GOP, and with over 70 million Americans.

God forbid they get angry about it.

How does it feel to lick the arse of the top 1% as a Lefty?
Corporate America is the GOP. The Republican party is a wholly owned subsidiary of big business.

dude, nearly all corporations were Biden.

LOL, I guess when you call anything conservative as “hate speech”, then yeah. Youve gotta define your terms

Still, it's not violating anyone's right to free speech.

It is. They are doing something that only government should ever have the power to do, if at all. If you regulate the speech of millions of people, you are by proxy influencing how our government functions.
