Matthew,
The energy business is subsidized by tax breaks and favourable working conditions so people can get power. Burning Coal is causing billions on healthcare and thousands of deaths a year. Coal is not paying that bill...
In summer the gird is at maximum capacity and there is dangers of brown outs and black outs from lack of investment in infrastructure. Actually if a terrorist really wanted to cause US damage go after their infrastructure especially power during the summer.
So the RW here have a choice do they want to invest in infrastructure and alternative energy or close the damn door.
Or people could observe that the climate on this planet has AWLAYS changed and learned to adapt instead of trying to keep the entire planet in a steady state of climate.
Ridiculous bullshit.
Lets put this simply.
Sticking your head in the sand and using idiotic arguments to say Climate Change is not happening, doesn't make it so. The Climate change is way too severe to be natural, this has been well proven.
I sorry but the deniers have been given enough time to make a case. The debate is over, it is happening. Deniers were given over a decade to come up with a reasonable argument which was not full of holes. They failed.
So debate finished, adults have to get on with how to lessen the impact of CC because at this stage we have actually gone to far to stop it.
and the "how" is the standard socialist playbook. Less rights, more regulations, more government, less freedom.
Watermelons, all of you.
What sort of freedom have you lost lately? Just curious?
Well i can't buy an incandescent lightbulb without paying through the nose, for starters. I like the light better than florescents or LED's.
Yes might want to talk to Bush about the two energy bills he signed into law.
Is there anything else.
