as we refer to the authoritarians we are familiar with as "nazis" or "fascists" litwin is framing authoritarianism in the terms ukrainians use from the soviet years.

none of those ideologies are specifically "MAGA" in every detail, so "trumpism," may not be technically "communist." the "cult of personality " paradigm is enough to make me comfortable with "authoritarian."
