Only in the sense that the IOC (International Olympic Committee) is run like a private club with limited membership. The executive board is elected by a popular consent of its 111 members, 38 honorary members, and it's 206 individual national Olympic committees. No single committee has any input without the consent of the executive board. It's possible that politicians from individual countries might be members of the executive board or any of the individual national committees, but that is, again, only with the consent of the executive board.
