NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Jealous said Sunday, perhaps unwittingly, that black Americans “are doing far worse” than when President Obama first took office.

“The country’s back to pretty much where it was when this president started,” Mr. Jealous told MSNBC host David Gregory on “Meet the Press.” “White people in this country are doing a bit better. Black people are doing far worse.”

The black unemployment rate was 12.7 percent when Mr. Obama took office. While the unemployment rate in the U.S. as a whole is below 8 percent, the Labor Department reported the black jobless rate was up from 12.9 percent to 14 percent for December.

The worst during Mr Obama’s first term was in September 2011, with 16.7 percent unemployment for blacks — the highest since 1983, the Department of Labor reports. The black teen jobless rate hit a staggering 39.3 percent in July 2012.

If he was doing things that only helped Blacks, you would be screaming discrimination.

In case you have not noticed, most of the world economy is in bad shape. It is heartwarming that you care so much about the Blacks though.

Tissue is a reply when you have nothing intelligent and relevant to say.

but yet, blacks continue to overwhelmingly support this failed president, could it possibly be racial?

What appears to be ignored here is that Blacks would have been worse off no matter who was President.

really? how do you know that? are you saying that blacks are unable to compete in a fair and equal society? I don't think thats the case, but you seem to.

but as to the obama regime-----everyone is worse off, all races----except of course the small group of super elites that make up obama's inner circle.

They were going to vote for Romney?

so you agree that blacks voted for obama for racial reasons. are you also saying that all blacks are in ideological agreement with the obama left wing agenda? all of them?

As I understand it the majority of Black voters supported the incumbent, however, a substantial numbers of middle, upper middle class, and wealthy black voters employed within the private sector did not. Those stereotyped as "Uncle Toms" etc... by the progressive left rejected the government run welfare state.
The issue was the candidate and message, face it Romney represented the conservative progressive compassionate wing of the GOP with nothing to offer, divisive platform, no real message, no clear plan that could embrace the disenchanted minorities and majority of working Americans. So get over it the Blue Bloods lost.

No surprise that they are too stupid to know it............

Perhaps they need additional special considerations, programs, affirmative action, quotas and community organization cheerleaders...................

You should get out of NOLA, the world's economy is in bad shape, many places much worse than the United States. Unemployment in Europe is about twice as bad as in America. Who would be a better President to help the Blacks? And, the people who are REALLT doing well spent a lot of money attempting to get him out of office by buying the election, they certainly are not part of his inner circle.
