It's not so much that elites get zero, it's more like democrats get zero.

Trump is an elite, but they still spent years, millions of dollars with a comitte made up his most hated enemies with the assistance of the federal government and constant media attention trying to make the public believe he mishandled documents trying to nail him on document mishandling and couldn't do it despite their best effort. They even had some nobody come out trying to make it sound like he was guilty by vaguely saying something like "oh yeah I moved some document boxes out of Trump's place once! I don't know what was in them but they were definitely boxes you could put documents in"

Meanwhile democrats who did the same thing got barely any attention at all.
