Actually when you have literally thousands of people who don't belong here that have had to steal and commit crimes in their own country to survive, what do you think they're going to do here where the streets are supposedly paved with gold? You consider running across the border for a better life to be a "crime " equal to rape or robbery??
More intellectual dishonesty from the right . For shame .
Up till now the federal government doesn't make it easy for anyone to find out exactly how much Illegal Immigration is costing us. You folks bellyache about how much Trump is cutting from Meals on Wheels but the fact is Democrats are bringing in millions of people to soak up all of our benefits. You know.....benefits like Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and everything else. How much did Obama spend bringing Syrian refugees here last year? How much did he spend to get them registered to vote?Exactly. What backlash!!!There are massive costs to illegal immigration and the government hides it from us to prevent the predicted backlash
What backlash? I'm not sure I understand your argument. Should the Fed spend less on pursuing undocumented aliens?
The feds are hiding the true costs of not only enforcement but processing and care of illegals. Nevermind the crime that goes along with drug traffickers and other related issues. Then there's the millions that have been put on Obamacare and on welfare.
They're hidden but you found them? What "backlash" do you want? More money spent on fighting illegal immigration?
Refugee Resettlement Fact Sheet
Refugees, successful asylum seekers, trafficking victim visa holders, “Cuban-Haitian Entrants” (which are mostly Cuban), S.I.V’s (for Iraqis and Afghanis) and other smaller humanitarian admission groups are eligible for ALL federal, state and local welfare programs 30 days after arrival.
Refugee access to welfare on the same basis as a U.S. citizen has made the program a global magnet.
The federal programs available to them include:
∙ Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) formerly known as AFDC
∙ Medicaid
∙ Food Stamps
∙ Public Housing
∙ Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
∙ Social Security Disability Insurance
∙ Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD) (direct services only)
∙ Child Care and Development Fund
∙ Independent Living Program
∙ Job Opportunities for Low Income Individuals (JOLI)
∙ Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
∙ Postsecondary Education Loans and Grants
∙ Refugee Assistance Programs
∙ Title IV Foster Care and Adoption Assistance Payments (if parents are ⌠qualified immigrants – refugees, asylees, etc)
∙ Title XX Social Services Block Grant Funds
So a 60% decrease isn't good enough for you?Up till now the federal government doesn't make it easy for anyone to find out exactly how much Illegal Immigration is costing us. You're not answering the question, you're just pointing out, again, that you think the government is spending too much on illegal immigration. Okay, and?
A border wall that will be funneled under does not reduce the spending. (It increases it) Something like 40% of illegal immigrants are people on Visas that simply stayed when they expired. The "wall" won't stop them.

Oh....and a lack of will to enforce the law led to such a prevalence of overstays. You really don't know just how much more effective immigration enforcement would be if we stopped allowing illegals to stay, and more importantly, stopped encouraging them to come here in the first place.
