At least her role is pretty good, but damn, talk about your token.

The boy king's stepmother, Emma Of Normandy (Laura Berlin) is hot.

The original Vikings was a great show... until it went stupid woke.
By the last season, women were in charge of everything. Even on the English side.
That's when we stopped watching it.
I watched the trailer of this and wasn't impressed.

Ragnar was the show.
It would be like Breaking Bad getting rid of Walt, and then put Skyler in charge, and Jessie's girlfriend in the lab and Gus's wife in charge of the Cartel. Because that is pretty much what the Vikings show did. They replaced every male lead with a female. And... who could have predicted the viewership tanked.

Ragnar was the show.
It would be like Breaking Bad getting rid of Walt, and then put Skyler in charge, and Jessie's girlfriend in the lab and Gus's wife in charge of the Cartel. Because that is pretty much what the Vikings show did. They replaced every male lead with a female. And... who could have predicted the viewership tanked.

Yeah, the last two seasons pretty much sucked.

There were black Vikings. Vikings were the first multi-cultural civilization in the world.
They sailed everywhere. And often bringing back captives to use and sell as slaves. However, the vikings would accept some of the children they took into their society and live among them. And some of them were black.

And none of them were women, they would only have power through their husbands... the wife of a King or Military leader would have position, but again through her husband.

We watched the first episode last night.
meh... average. Main actors obviously chosen for their looks rather than acting ability.
It doesn't bother me that they place women in unrealistic positions historically... but to put a black woman as the high leader of a whole nation of Vikings... okay that is just stupid.
I am all for more inclusive actors chosen for roles, it should be that way as long as it isn't done to the point it becomes obvious. Then it distracts you.
