The GOP still has an option. Several states that awarded their delegate votes to Trump that had less than 40% of the popular vote and are scheduled to give their entire delegation votes to Donnie on the first vote. They could change their minds by abstaining from that first vote and cause a required second vote. At that point, all the delegations can change their minds and hand the nomination to someone besides Donnie. The states that choose an abstain vote could claim just cause for abstaining as an effort to better represent their constituencies.
