I have no clue what’s up with the laptop. I haven’t seen it or vetted it. Neither have you. The FBI has though and I don’t see Hunter arrested for child porn or rape so that’s telling me that the media rumors aren’t all true.

The FBI was sitting on Hunter's laptop for two years doing nothing with it. The only thing they did with it is t make sure nobody has access to it. That would work if there were no copies of his drive. Where do you think New York Post got the content of his drive from? Isn't that a reason for FBI to visit Zuckerberg to prevent any leak about it on Facebook? They probably did it with Twitter too, and with all MSM who, with the signed letter from "51 former spies" classified it as Russian disinformation, and they went with that story until Musk bought the Twitter.

Beside, the content of the Hunter's laptop is part of Library of Congress records, and as part of public records should pretty much be accessible to anyone. Why isn't?
