I live Fenway Park, but compared to TD Garden (Bruins/Celtics) and Gillette Stadium (Pats/Revs), Fenway is a distant third in terms of comfort and amenities.I am not a resident of fenway as you are but I HAVE been there once and i have to say from my experience i totally disagree with you.i loved the fan experience,i had the time of my life
You need money OR success to get a stadium built. You either have to finance it yourself OR be considered enough of a mainstay of the community to get folks to vote the public funds for it. The Athletics do not have either of those components.you get the fans a new ballpark, once you do that, problem solved, they will come out and pay the prices and flock in droves.as i just go done saying, that was was the same way in SAN fran before THEY got their new ballpark, back then the fan support was atrocious, once they got the new ballpark, they packed them in every night. the owners same as fucktard mark davis, just dont want to get anything done
He may have overestimated the initial fan support, but if they can put a better product on the field I think he’s right. If I had to choose an AFC team to call my favorite over the years, it would be the Raiders. Mostly due to Al Davis and his philosophies on football. I’ll always be a Washington fan but I’d love to see the Raiders be successful again. Not true at all that mark davis does not care about the fan support there.
from the comments davis has made,it doesnt sound to me like he doesnt care about having a home field advantage,he sounds pissed as hell to me
Modern fans will not support a losing team. You’re going to see that in Boston this year. They’ll likely have their first non-sell out in a decade later this summer. Likewise, you can’t expect Oakland fans to shell out money to watch games in an abysmal stadium. The owner of the A's sure as hell better not care on having fan support as Davis does,or he is in for a very rude awakening same as Davis has recieved
