Obama administration to Congress: We’re tired of your dumb Obamacare questions

Republican lawmakers have questions for the groups signing up the uninsured for Obamacare. They have, in fact, lots of questions. Their questions were detailed in a three-page letter sent earlier this month to more than 100 “navigator” groups, which had received federal funding for health law enrollment

Health and Human Services stepped in Monday morning with a response on behalf of the groups–and a retort.

“We are concerned about the timing of your inquiry given its potential to interfere with the Navigators ability to carry out their crucial efforts in assisting Americans who lack health insurance,” Jim Esquea, assistant secretary for legislaton at HHS, writes in a response to Congress.

“In an effort to address your remaining questions about the Navigator Program and enable the Navigators to focus on training staff to begin to assist uninsured Americans, we are providing the following responses to the questions posed in your letter to awardees.”

What follows is a five-page response to the Energy and Commerce letter, which the Obama administration has previously described as a “blatant and shameful attempt to intimidate” outreach workers.

It will be interesting to see next whether House Republicans still want to hear from the grantees directly, or accept the administration’s letter in their place.

“We trust that our response fully addresses your questions,” Esquea writes at the end of his letter. We’ll soon see whether Republicans agree.

You're not allowed to ask questions, you simply must accept and comply with Obama's vision! He won remember, all the bastards in congress didn't win.... wait.... ok, they won but their not a Democrat so it simply does not count!!!!!!!!

Obamacare is a mess and I hope it continues to get obstructed. There is a reason why congress and Obama don't want to take part in it. It sucks. It's intrusive. It's oppressive. Defunding it is the best course at this point in time.

The ‘timing’ is obvious.

The partisan right is attempting to obstruct the process to contrive the lie that the exchange program ‘doesn’t work.’

As always the issue isn’t the right’s opposition to the ACA, but their refusal to offer a viable alternate solution.

Doing nothing, as most conservatives advocate, is not a ‘solution.’

Perhaps if they had told us what was in the bill before they passed it, there wouldn't be so many "dumb" questions, you imbecile.

Kinda hard to tell anyone what was in it since none of the idiots bothered to read it.

They all wanted to be part of the "historic moment."

Of course now the Dems have had a chance to see just exactly what they have foisted on the American people.

Anyone who thinks th ACA is gonna be cheaper or better is living in la la land. NOTHING the Govt sticks its big fat nose in is EVER cheaper or better.

The only winners will be those we are forced to subsidize.

Obamma fluffers are persistent little creeps, gotta give them that..

these people don't realize they are making Obambam out to look like nothing but a bully and thug..

I guess that's how they want the people to see him..

probably why his disapprovals are so much higher than his approvals..

I say they should keep on finding all these and keep adding to it

it's their job as useful tools for the party just like the WashingCompost is

Indeed. Considering how this law got rammed down our throats, let's here it for the obstructionists! Anything that will forestall our descent into corporatism is worth a shot.

Imagine you are in a conversation with someone who ask you a question.....which you answer. This person then pretends that you did not answer the question and asks it again.

Repeat hundreds of times.

So the left is balking and whining at questions about a massive, intrusive program that no one understands, that has had deadlines pushed back, that has given exemptions to hundreds, that is forcing people to take part in or they will be fined .... er, taxed .... er, is it a penalty now?, that needed to be passed before we knew what was in it, that TPTB in DC don't want to use, that is so 'cost effective' that businesses are dropping employees hours to below 30/wk because they can not afford it? Really??? Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. You created this mess, answer the damn questions, explain it. Please explain how dumping millions who will not pay, who will be subsidized into a system is going to lower costs. It will implode at some point, where uncle will then declare it a failure (blaming the GOP of course) and issue in single payer. What this piece of shit legislation has done and will continue to do is limit choices for people. Just read the threads made by many posters on here who have lost their insurance (that the liar Obama said they could keep) due to Obamacare. Think insurance is sucky now? Just wait until the government runs the whole she-bang.

You mean a question like "Isn't the invididual mandate a tax?" ?

... and then, after asking hundreds of times, suddenly the answer magically changes!

Sorry LL - with all the shenanigans and under handed lobbying that went into this fiasco, I'm supporting full-blown, no-holds-barred obstructionism to stop it.

they to this day still pick apart Iraq, but we aren't ALLOWED to ask questions over this piece of garbage legislation this is going to fine us...

If Obambam our dictator says so, we all better SHUT UP

Hater dupes- Everything you know is wrong, especially on O-Care, brainwashed chumps of the greedy idiot rich GOP...

speaking of brainwashed...do you have this line on favorites and you just hit one button it pops up?

Blah, blah, blah.

Republicans are only trying to obstruct, as they have already admitted.

Georgia insurance commissioner bragged publicly about sabotaging Obamacare

And let's hope they continue to obstruct. Obamacare is a disaster. Even Hardcore Liberal Max Baucus, who helped write the damn thing, admitted it.

The "Navigoators" need to be questioned as there are no background checks to ensure that you aren't talking to a convicted felon who is out on parole for identity theft or rape or murder, or any other crime.

So Obama doesn't care about Congress. Which is why he insisted on getting congressional approval for any action in Syria. After which he denied he needed congressional approval. And he got support from the GOP. But not his own party. Perhaps the GOP is paying him back for exempting them from Obamacare. You know, that transparent system that will create wonderful healthcare for everyone,so great people are applying for waivers in droves?

It is hard to make this up. This is literally the worst administration since Robert Mugabe.
