About 47% of the voting public is receptive to artful bullshit. They dwell on the visible step forward while ignoring the two sneaky backward steps.

Obama has done enough (just enough) good things to avoid being impeached. But he commenced his presidency by doing a very bad thing, which is appointing a wooden indian, Eric Holder, as his Attorney General, and allowing the Bush conspirators to walk away with complete impunity for the crimes which devastated our economy and have transformed our once proud Nation into one which is feared, despised, and regarded with contempt by most of the developed world.

Allowing the Bush Administration to get away with their crimes has established a prededent of impunity which ensures similar to worse conduct by future administrations. And none of the good things Obama has done can compensate for the harm his malfeasance will bring upon America in the future.
