Good question. Hack in this instance means opening an email from an unknown sender promoting online hookup services. Not just opening the email, but clicking on a link and downloading malicious software that allowed "hostile foreign actors" access to the DNC's computer system.

I work for a tech company and I can say with absolute certainty that if I did what Podesta did, it would bankrupt my company--so no need to fire me but I would be fired before that happened, and I would be held civilly liable for and sued, and investigated for potential criminal wrong doings.

Clinton did this and more, and the Democrats are mad at Russia. It is akin to leaving your car door unlocked with the keys in the glove box and then being shocked and amazed that someone stole your car, but opening up and downloading that software is even more stunningly stupid.

September was a little too late for Hillary Clinton, the damage had already been done.

But who is in the HOT seat is Donald Trump. It is now CONFIRMED that Russia did indeed hack into DNC and Government databases to help Donald Trump win.

If they find any collusion within the Trump campaign or anyone he is associated with, it could easily be considered Treason.

The electoral college should delay their vote until further investigation is completed.

There would be nothing worse for the Republican party than to swear him in one day only to start impeachment proceedings the next. This country would ignite, if Mike Pense was sworn in, with Hillary Clinton leading by approximately 3 million votes. It would be devastating to the Republican party for decades to come.

Russian actions did NOT influence the election as much (if at all) as Democrats would like us to believe..

The fact that Democrats lost so many other seats / positions across the country is proof of that.

The liberals would rather believe that an 'evil foreign nation', one they did not take seriously until this happened, stole the election from Hillary than admit they ran the worst candidate in U.S. history.

Hillary was such a bad candidate that the President had to ensure no indictments against her were allowed / he had to protect her from prosecution.

She was so bad the DNC had to rig their Prinary to help her defeat an old Socialist Party member.

She was so bad the DNC had to help her CHEAT in debates by feeding her debate questions in advance...and there were questions about her wearing an ear-piece during debates.

She was so bad the 'All-in' media, like CNN had to help her, defend her, and cover for her - CNN, on the air, declared, "We have done everything we could do to help her, given her a pass on all of her scandals..."

She was involved in things, did things, liberals would NEVER have tolerated from a Republican candidate -- if a GOP candidate had violated govt rules, jeopardized national security, and was under 2 investigations by the FBI, 1 potentially involving Espionage, the librals would have been screaming for that candidate to be forced from the election campaign...but they defended Hillary and doubled-down on her.

NO OTHER CANDIDATE IN US HISTORY HAS EVER BEEN THAT SCANDALOUS, THAT CLOSE TO THE ELECTION, AND BEEN ALLOWED TO REMAIN IN THE RACE...

That was NOT FBI Director Comey's doing.
