Late last Friday, the State Department released a positive environmental review of the Keystone XL pipeline. President Obama has been delaying this pipeline—which would carry oil from Canada to refineries in Texas—for more than three years.

These delays are pointless. The Keystone pipeline has passed its environmental reviews, and the Obama Administration is only hurting America by holding it up.

Obama Administration Buries Good News on Keystone Pipeline

Make no mistake about it - Obama continues to block this because he needs an energy shortage to push the "green agenda" and keep funneling hundreds of millions to this failed concept (like Solyndra).

That's an interesting spin. What is doubly confusing is the 2009 decision by Obama and the State Department to approve the Alberta Clipper pipeline. Similar in scope and purpose to the Keystone XL:

Permit for Alberta Clipper Pipeline Issued

The Department found that the addition of crude oil pipeline capacity between Canada and the United States will advance a number of strategic interests of the United States. These included increasing the diversity of available supplies among the United States’ worldwide crude oil sources in a time of considerable political tension in other major oil producing countries and regions; shortening the transportation pathway for crude oil supplies; and increasing crude oil supplies from a major non-Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries producer. Canada is a stable and reliable ally and trading partner of the United States, with which we have free trade agreements which augment the security of this energy supply.

What is so different?

Agenda. Spin. Politics.

Fuck that semi-negro.

You just contradicted your own point. Indeed, what is the difference? Since this is "similar in scope & purpose" and has been found to pose 0 threat to the environment, why exactly is that full-marxist blocking it?

By the way, the whole "racist" thing is tired and played out. Since all us conservatives love Allen West, Mia Love, Dr. Benjamin Carson, Condoleezza Rice, (and we used to love Collin Powell), the whole "play the racist card" simply doesn't hold up.

There are thousands of legitimate reasons to hate the anti-American marxist Barack Obama. We don't need his skin color.

Here's a question I have yet to hear any reporter ask:

Why the hell doesn't Canada just build their own damn refinery, process their own dirty oil, then send the refined gas down to the U.S. on trucks and trains?

Another fantastic thread showing off what a complete moron rottweiler is.

It takes a special king of idiot to be that dumb, those on the far right.

Pipelines are cheaper and less dangerous than trucks or trains. And more environmentally friendly.

Again we see the lack of reasoning power of the Misinformation Voter. If Obama really wanted to create an energy shortage in the US he would have approved the Keystone XL ages ago, since it diverts tar sands that can only be sold in the US to the Gulf where it can be exported, raising the cost of gasoline in the US.

The Misinformation Voter wants the Keystone XL so they can pay higher prices for gas and have something to bitch, about since the Right are only happy when they pissed off.

This place reeks of petrophobia. :eusa_eh:

SD Supreme Court upholds Hyperion refinery permit

$10 billion investment. Jobs, economic development, tax revenues for local state and federal treasuries, more refined fuels for domestic markets.

No one here seems to have any qualms about the Agriculture industry's record profits, the degredation of our environment from pesticides, herbicides, emissions...

40% of corn acres producing an unneeded and impractical fuel, tens of billions of dollars of "true" subsidies, erosion, fouled waterways...

Get some perspective you Liberal hacks.

There isn't much left to steal after Dubya, Cheney and Haliburton got finished.

Yeah sure, obama follows in their footsteps and all you can do is bring up the last administration

Just look at who has gotten positions and money doled out to them from Obama...you will see cronyism, and crooks crooks crooks

but it's your hero stealing from us, so it's a yawner for you Obamabots

Let's check your memory. Do you remember WHY the President delayed (not, killed) that portion of the Keystone which will run across Nebraska? (construction on the rest of it has gone right along all the time).

Not only where it terminates, but how many states that will benefit from the jobs created voted for Obama.

Then why has everyone from the EPA to the state department cleared this project as 100% safe? :cuckoo:

The EPA has far from said this project is 100% safe. They have actually said there is a high risk of more oil spills in our own country.
