Obama nominates Wal-Mart's Burwell as budget chief

This doesn't hurt me. Proves my point that not only is Obama not a marxist or socialist, he's not even a liberal. One little nudge and he'd be in the republicans arms.

corporatism can also be an avenue to socialism....

Not in historical and traditional narratives, but go ahead and give us an example.

look at Red China....businesses there are 'owned' by private parties but the communist government actually controls them through manipulation of policies....

look at Obamacare....you have increasing control of healthcare through government mandates and through government subsidized "exchanges"......even though you can still buy 'private' care....

look at 'cap-and-trade'....this is also a form of corporatism because it favors companies and subsidizes them when they engage in government-approved 'carbon trading'.....yet it can lead to indirect socialism through suppression (control) of the public through "necessarily" skyrocketing prices for electricity etc.....it's almost as if the government 'owns' GE and other large companies and tells them what to do.....this is indirect control.....

'corporatism' is the correct term for what BO is engaged in......yet in the broader sense it is really just another form of socialism because it results in government control and destroys much of the free market...

Dear Leader make good selection.

WalMart is good Communist Store: Chinese Communist products that destroy American Industry and local "Mom and Pop" stores. WalMart have everything Wife and I need, why go anywhere else?

Soon everyone will work part-time at WalMart-Like store.

yeah i was thinking of that angle too.....BO is a student of Red China if you ask me....

Please look up socialism, corporatism, and fascism. The government encouraging the private sector to complete for market share is not socialism.

i see....you're just another liberal twit that wants to nitpick strict definitions because you have no real counter argument.....and in order to not face what is really going down.....i.e., increasing government control....

i'd like to hear you explain how Obamacare and Cap-n-Trade are the "government encouraging the private sector to compete for market share"......

It is not liberal or conservative to insist on traditional and historical terms and narrative. It is professional and responsible. When you are willing to assume that responsibility instead of insisting on a "myfacts" "mydefinitions" approach that undermines the foundations of professional America we can continue the discussion.
