With the grueling government shutdown
fight over for now, President Barack Obama is heading out on the campaign trail to raise money for House and Senate Democrats, as well as the Democratic National Committee.
Hill Democrats are looking to build on their fundraising edge over their GOP counterparts in the 2014 cycle. Democrats also saw a big spike in fundraising during the 16-day government shutdown, as polls showed Republicans took far more of the blame for the bitter partisan stalemate — and overall Washington dysfunction — than did Obama and Democrats.

Between Friday and the end of November, Obama will appear at seven fundraisers — three each for House and Senate Democrats and one for the DNC. The DNC fundraiser and two of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee events have not been previously reported.
