Ah yes, the Republicans want to tell us how they are going to make everything better, after they spent eight years making it all worse.
And what a wonderful crew they have to do it with. Bitchin' Bachman, the Alaska Loonk, the Deleware Dingbat, and Anger Angle. A regular coven.
Yes, the Democrats need to get out and state at every oppetunity what the real numbers are concerning the destruction of the middle class by the Republicans. How the wealth of this nation has been steadily accumulating at the top, while the middle class is sliding down into the class of the working poor. And the Republicans are doing everything in their power to accelerate that slide.
Couple things you might want to look into...
First it was 6 years of Bush and a Republican Congress. It's been 4 years of a Democrat congress and 2 years with a Democrat president.
Dems are really not far behind on "time" spent fucking shit up. I should also note that Bush and his Republican congress were "very liberal" on most things... Obama and the Dem congress have repealed NOTHING and only grew Government, Bush policies and new policies.
Just a lil insider info there to help you out...
Oh and Rdean, thank you for the comic relief... I look forward to many more post that I cant make it more than half way through reading before I have to stop and move on due to laughing so hard.
Yeah I was just gonna post about that.
Anyone notice that it took less time for folks to get fed up with the dems? You could say it took more than 4 years for Bush, but less than 2 for Obama.
Just looking at a calendar hardly tells the story, genius. THIS is what faced Obama in 3 months when he took over from Bush:
Did Democrats Cause Crash?

Lets put this in perspective. The entire global banking system is imploding. Governments across the entire planet are propping up, buying, nationalizing, insuring, lending to nearly every bank and investment firm in existence. Those not yet affected will be affected by those presently failing as well as those yet to fail. They all rely on each other. When one fails another loses assets. It is a positive feedback loop with devastating consequences.
As we ask ourselves, did the democrats cause this, we have to put it all in perspective with this question; Is is possible that a calamity of this magnitude was caused by Barneys equal housing campaign? Lets think this through. The sub-prime market was but a small piece of the global economy. There ARE many factors at play. Sub-prime is only one of them. Congress may have encouraged sub-prime experimentation. Congress did not pass any piece of legislation, though, directing any bank or investment firm to abuse derivatives or credit default swaps. This problem is exponentially bigger than a trillion odd dollars in sub-prime mortgages that still have a true present and future cash value.
The Bush administration did in fact push this bubble up and up and up. Please open a new browser window, go to Google and put the words Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in the search window. Dig and dig, America. There is plenty of blame to go around, and much of it lands squarely on the Bush administration.
All this said, within the past three weeks John McCain said the economy is fundamentally sound. We now know without any doubt that John McCains understanding of the gravity of the situation could not have been more wrong. John McCain is not qualified to lead America at this time. Sit down, John. Take a deep breath. Then retire.
