Obamacare Enrollment Passes 5 Million

By the by since the start date for enrollment is March 31st so total enrollment i. e. the check may not clear until April. So, we will get verifiable numbers no earlier than July.

Seven million was the number Sebelius said they needed for this to be a success....
Now it's 5 million?

And where are the 48 million that Obama said needed coverage.

9 months ago the Congressional Budget Office projected there would be 7 million sign ups Kathleen Sebilius responded to the CBO projection: 7 million is "a realistic target" for the first round of Obamacare sign ups then-----then the private contractor screwed up the rollout website, the CBO scaled back their projection to 6 million but-----but don't be surprised if the number of sign ups by March 31 is close to/or more than the CBO's target number.

BTW - CBO also projects: "The Congressional Budget Office has estimated that 24 million people will get health insurance on the exchange by 2023, but only 7 million in the first year. Millions more can go into expanded Medicaid, although those projections were cut after the Supreme Court last year allowed states to opt out."

Quick Question: Was the Heritage Foundation's healthcare plan designed/intended to give every American health insurance?

The 5 million enrollee total marked an increase of at least 800,000 people since March 1, indicating that total enrollment could approach the 6 million figure estimated by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office if enrollment surges in the final weeks as administration officials have predicted.

CBO initially forecast 7 million enrollees in private health coverage but scaled back its estimate after technical problems with the rollout that continue to afflict Obamacare insurance marketplaces operated by several states.

Obamacare Enrollment Reaches 5 Million

03/17/2014

More than 5 million people have signed up for health care plans under the newly created Obamacare insurance exchanges, according to a Monday press release from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

.
At least 12 million have lost their insurance because of Obama care, and when it enters the business phase, it is estimated that over 70 million will be out of insurance. Not to mention those who already had insurance are seeing drastic increases in insurance premiums and doctors and major hospitals are now refusing peoples health insurance.

To add to it, the much desired youth aren't signing up and not falling for the govt.'s cheesy media campaign using celebrities. Neither has a dent been made in the "uninsured" that Obama care was supposed to alleviates the first place. Not one doctor or health professional I know has a single positive thing to say about Obamacare. And let's not even mention the epic fail that the website launch was.

And you ask how this piece of shit legislation that was passed by fascists, and shoved down American people's throats has failed?

On the bright side this Obama presidency and his health care bill will yield a much worse outcome to the the Democrat party and platform than even Jimmy Carter. :clap2:

ObamaCare Mess Leaves Heart Attack Victim With $407,000 Medical Bill

ObamaCare horror stories — all of which Harry Reid dismisses as lies — are too numerous to document. Here is a representative example:

The busted ObamaCare websites cost a lot of people a lot of time. But for one Nevada man, problems with the state insurance exchange reportedly cost him $407,000.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Larry Basich, a 62-year-old Vegas resident, has been stuck with the massive medical bill despite signing up for an insurance plan via the state exchange last fall.

Basich, according to the article, selected a UnitedHealthcare plan in November, and even paid his first premium. But he never received confirmation that he was enrolled, despite being assured that he was by Nevada Health Link.

Amid the confusion, Basich suffered a heart attack at the end of December, and had to undergo a triple bypass. Now, according to the Review-Journal, no insurer will claim his bills — and he’s caught in a financially frightening battle…

Medical insurance is a complicated business. The free market could handle it. The bureaucratically micromanaged crony capitalist world of ObamaCare cannot handle it.

Sorry, Mr. Basich. But you are just one casualty among countless others. As a Founding Father of progressivism might say, one person losing their healthcare is a tragedy. Tens of millions losing it is just a statistic.

The formulary problems are even worse. Network width may be the worst of all. But that title depends on number and size of rate hike requests that may be an even bigger problem.

"and doctors and major hospitals are now refusing peoples health insurance. " (quote from Roudy)

A blatant lie. Medical providers never "refuse" insurance. they simply do not necessarily consider the amount reimbursed by insurance to be the total due from the patient....which is a hell of a lot better than telling an uninsured person that they are responsible for 100% of their bill, and if they can not demonstrate that they can pay, refuse to provide services at all, which is a job that I once held, in a major cancer treatment center in Houston.

If you can not attack ACA using the truth, why should anyone pay any attention at all?

Well, no, not a lie at all.

Many hospitals and Doctors refuse Medicaid "insurance".

Pennies on the dollar they receive for reimbursement. Usually at a loss.

38 million to go...

here let me enlighten you it seems you are off a tad bit
5.million private insurance
6.12 million medicaid
3.2 million under 26 on parents plan
thats 14.4 million people who have health care
you want to try again... the 5 million sign up is the number on private plans paid by a private individual ... I do realize that the 6.12 are medicaid signups but they are still a private plan ... so if you're going to quote a number then try and get it right... that would be 28.6 million to go
