Bad decisions result in bad policies which make for bad outcomes.

So Obama get hosed by both Assad and Putin when he backed down off his "red lines" claim. This allowed Assad to retain chemical weapons, even after Obama crowed about how he had gotten them to give them up.

Then Obama backed down off his promise to degrade and destroy ISIS a year ago and has been playing bomber footsie with them while they take over major cities in Iraq.

So the two failures combine and multiply and we now have ISIS in possession of WMD, chemical weapons, that they are using on the Kurds.
And Obama will do nothing but issue a strongly worded condemnation.
