Actually, she has a point. Trump has been going after legal immigrants by prosecuting minor infractions to revoke their green cards. I have a neighbor who was born in Texas, and ICE went after her for a few weeks because even though she was born here, the person who signed her birth certificate has been accused of falsifying documents.

If one overstays they are in violation of the law. If one crosses the border without going through ports of entry they are in violation of the law.
