This is a bit of a tangent, but there is one theory going around that explains Biden's urgent desire to get the IDF to back off RIGHT NOW.

A huge network of tunnels, etc., is being uncovered in Rafah, and its main feature is a highway-sized tunnel under the border to Egypt. Among many other distressing implications, it seems there is a large cache of U.S. MADE weapons on the Gaza side of that highway, weapons that were sold by the U.S. to Egypt, then re-sold through a black market to Hamas. The existence of these weapons would/will be a massive embarrassment to the Biden Administration, which somehow allowed it to happen under its watch. They are frantically working to keep this from being publicly exposed.
