Granted, democratic leaders have given us social security, medicare, medicaid and welfare safety-net systems.......But whereas these government programs were initiated to help `retired seniors and those less fortunate citizens, republicans have also initiated THEIR form of "socialism."

The latest tax cut heralded by Trump at the tune of $1.4 TRILLION went about 86% to the top 2-3% wealthiest Americans........and let us also review the highly socialistic programs in granting HUGE subsidies to farming conglomerates, energy companies, big pharma, etc.

Yes, if we take the examples of how we treat Wall Street bankers, we applaud capitalism when the stock market rises, but we revert to socialism when these gamblers screw up big time.

Never fear, the day of reckoning is coming.
1. Medicare goes bankrupt in 2026
No, Medicare Won't Go Broke In 2026. Yes, It Will Cost A Lot More Money

2. Social Security goes to 80% of promised benefits in 2034
Should we be worried about Social Security going bankrupt?

3. The interest on the Debt crowds out something (defense, welfare, medicaid, etc.) when the interest rate rises significantly.
5 facts about the national debt

4. Now that Nancy and the dems control the purse strings, what did they do with the 2020 Budget? That's right, made the Budget Deficit even bigger. So WTF is the point of this thread?

5. Welcome back Nat!

This thread is just a reminder that when this election cycle is fully underway.....and Trump and his cult members keep repeating that all democrats are socialists, I'm hoping for just a few republicans who are honest enough and not afraid of the orange clown, to speak up and point out all the republican "socialist programs" for the very rich.

Thanks for the "welcome back"....lol
