That the man stated the matter is "a lot of nothing," indicates he either...

• didn't know the full scope of what happened and was going on, or
• didn't understand the full scope of what happened and was going on, or
• flat out lied....

None of those things is as insignificant as the hypocrisy of it. The ignorance, stupidity, or dishonesty he exhibited is far more disconcerting to me.
