I just found this on the web. Google has put thousands of books in its search engine, so that you can look through books as if you were in a library.
I know for us programming types, this is pretty useful. But I'm sure that people from all fields can use it (e.g. teachers, students etc)

I was able to pull up complete reference books on JavaScript, XSLT and Java.
It does require that you have a Google account (if you have gmail, then use that).
