There was a big scandal involving this in Tenaha, TX just recently.

Yep, I had a chucklehead try and take my cash from me one time I told him that I would not give up my cash and if he still wanted to take it he would have to arrest me. I then informed him that if he did so I would file a Title 18 Section 243 Federal Lawsuit which is "denying me my Civil Liberties Under Color of Authority" and that in seven or so years I would own his house and everything else that he thought was his.

Be prepared to back it up and they will leave you alone. The beauty of the Federal lawsuit is the accused can't use department money for their defense. They HAVE TO USE THEIR OWN CASH! Makes it a lot more even...
